The Hudson Valley Writing Project invites students to participate in the summer 2014 Young Writers' Programs at SUNY New Paltz.

During the "Revolutionary Footsteps in Orange County" program, available for students ages 12 to 16, participants will take a trip to the Palisades Park Conservancy and step into Revolutionary history by firing muskets at Fork Montgomery, identifying archaeological artifacts, hiking Bear Mountain, and walking in Washington's footsteps at the Newburgh headquarters. Students will write about what's worth fighting for now and then.
