Several graduate students, faculty and alumni from the Art Department at SUNY New Paltz will be exhibiting work as part of the upcoming Open Engagement conference at the Queens Museum in NYC. Open Engagement is an international conference that sets out to explore various perspectives on art and social practice and expand the dialogue around socially engaged art making.

Art critic, curator, author and permaculture expert, Linda Weintraub, selected work that will be on display during a panel organized by Matthew Friday (SUNY New Paltz Art faculty) and Gregory Sholette (Queens College Art faculty). This pop-up exhibit compliments and complicates the panel, acting as an archive of sensual, embodied responses to our entangled ecologies.
