Free Income Tax Assistance

The State University of New York at New Paltz School of Business will offer free tax help to individuals with a gross income below $50,000 on the New Paltz campus as part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. Certified student volunteers will prepare basic tax returns and provide free electronic filing (e-filing). Proof of ID, Social Security cards, all informational statements such as W-2’s and 1099’s, last year’s tax return (if available), and bank routing and account numbers must be brought to receive help.
