From New Paltz to Capitol Hill: Shaping Policy as Legislative Staffer or Lobbyist

Howard Goldblatt, (Political Science, '73) and a member of the LA&S Advisory Board, will hold a session with students on Monday, April 15 in JFT 1010 from 5:00-6:30 p.m., where he will discuss his experiences as a staffer in the New York State Legislature and for various members of Congress on Capitol Hill. He currently serves as the Director of Governmental Affairs at the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud, based in Washington, DC, an organization that advocates on behalf of consumers and others for strong anti-fraud laws. Howard will share "tips" with students about how to pursue job opportunities in government and public affairs.
