Please join us for an evening with internationally respected
champion of human and environmental rights, Oren Lyons.
Oren is a member of the Onondaga Council of Chiefs, and
will speak on the The Two Row Wampum Renewal
Campaign and on issues that affect us all. The campaign is
a statewide advocacy and educational project which seeks
to achieve justice by polishing the chain of friendship
established in the first treaty between the Haudenosaunee
(Iroquois) and Dutch immigrants in 1613.
Environmental stewardship, peaceful co-existence, and
dignity for first peoples are the core components of the
campaign. A symbolic enactment of the ideas in the treaty,
by Natives and Non-native allies, will take place on the
Hudson River this summer from Albany to NYC, ending at
The United Nations. Please consider taking part in this
meaningful campaign.
