Our Programs:
What do we offer?

  1. A credit-bearing Pathway Program in which the highest level students may take Academic Purposes ESL in addition to an academic class.
  2. A full-time semester-length Intensive English Program at three levels (Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced). The HELP issues I-20s for study in its programs.
  3. A short Summer Session of 3 weeks in June focusing on Successful Careers and Workplace English.
  4. A highly intensive Summer Session of 5 weeks in July/August offering the basic core curriculum of the semester program.
  5. Pedagogical Workshops developed for university or high school EFL professors looking for a short-term summer program in the USA.
  6. Specially designed short-term ESL, Business, and STEM programs for selected cohorts.

Who are our program participants?

  1. English Language Learners wishing to study ESL only for one more terms.
  2. Undergraduate and Graduate Students who are conditionally admitted to SUNY New Paltz.
  3. Exchange Students, Visiting Students, and Scholars from our institutional partners abroad.
  4. Transfer Students to and from Community Colleges.
  5. International Study Abroad students from universities worldwide.
  6. Permanent Residents living in the local area.
