NOTES

 

• Prices and dates are estimates, based on current information.

• Living expenses are the prices for on-campus housing in residence halls; 2 students per room and full meal plan (19meals/week). New students are encouraged to live on-campus their first term. The university does not provide assistance with off-campus housing.

• All students pay an orientation fee in their first semester of enrollment; cost for orientation during the Fall & Spring term is $75 for students living on campus and $50 for student living off campus.  

• All international students are required to purchase the State University of New York Health Insurance Policy. We do not accept applications for a waiver of the insurance requirement.

Students in the advanced levels of the program may enroll concurrently in 1-2 academic courses at the University with the permission of the ESL director; charges for those courses follow standard SUNY New Paltz tuition fees (and concurrent enrollment reduces the full class fee for ESL coursework)

INFORMATION FOR PART-TIME studies - (for students living in the US and not using a student visa issued by SUNY New Paltz. Anyone with a student visa issued by our school must be enrolled full-time.)

Breakdown of part time fees:

Class fee per “RU” (credit units for our program): $330
(Reading/writing is 6 RUs. Other courses are 3, 4 or 6 RUs.)

College fees per “RU”: $32.45

Technology flat fee: $165 per student.

Foreign Health Insurance (per semester) $415.00 (Mandatory for all F-1 & J-1 Students)

Example:
Student enrolling in one 4-RU class such as Grammar or Listening-speaking:
4 units X $330    = $1320
+ University fees= $197.45
                  Total = $1517.45

For Summer “RU” per unit cost is estimated to be $215; For Fall & Spring “RU” per unit cost is estimated to be $330.
