Independent Research Projects for EGS majors

EGS majors complete 6 credit hours of research during their senior years.


EGS major Kerri DeGroat prepares solutions for growing Pseudomonas putida, a bacterium known for its capacity to degrade a variety of pollutants. Kerri's independent research project involves extracting and characterizing compounds from these bacteria in an effort to better understand bioremediation processes.
