Water Quality Projects in the EGS Program

The relatively pristine condition of Ulster County is maintained by highly sensitive and complex interactions between geologic, hydrologic, and ecologic systems. However, these systems are extremely sensitive to anthropogenic changes. Water is the most critical of all the natural resources. All life depends on water quality and quantity. EGS and Geology majors are actively involved in studying the water quality issues that affects the local communities.
