The Other Name of EGS is: Hands-on Field-Based Learning Experience

EGS offers research projects where students can integrate fieldwork and lab analysis with learning how to spatially analyze results of field and lab work. The EGS has an excellent infrastructure to conduct teaching and research in environmental sciences (a newly developed EGS lab with latest equipment, a mobile lab unit, up-to-date computer hardware and software and excellent GIS computer labs).
