Research/Creative Activity

Jed Mayer’s areas of specialization range from nineteenth-century literature to children’s fantasy to science fiction. His current research focuses on the changing role of the nonhuman animal in the nineteenth century, and he has recently published articles in Victorian Studies, the Journal of Pre-Raphaelite Studies, Literature Compass, and Victorian Poetry.
