3rd Annual TSEC CEO Conference at State University of New York - New Paltz

On Monday, January 24, The Solar Energy Consortium (TSEC) held the 3rd Annual TSEC CEO Conference at State University of New York at New Paltz. The conference keynote speakers were by Dr. Paul T. Geiss, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Energy and Paul Bollinger, Jr., General Manager Boeing Energy, and former Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Energy and Partnerships. Both discussed solar device deployment by the U.S. Department of Defense.
There were also, lectures on how to raise capital and apply for state funding opportunities as well as the technical resources available at the SUNY Binghamton Center for Autonomous Solar Power. The Conference closed with an outlook for New York energy policy by Paul DeCotis, Vice President, Power Markets, Long Island Power Authority.
Over 150 people attended the conference, including local leaders, academics, and business owners. Attendees came from as far as China to attend the event.
TSEC and SUNY - New Paltz Electrical and Computer Engineering Department have been working together closely since TSEC’s inception in 2007, one such project is the Sun Hawk, the department’s solar car. Vincent Cozzolino, the CEO of TSEC, is on department's Engineering Advisory Board.
