Busy December for the Engineering Department

The First Annual INDUSTRY NIGHT held on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 in the Resnick Engineering Hall, was a huge success. The purpose of this Industry Night was to provide an opportunity for Industry Representatives to become familiar with the faculty of the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department and to see samples of student’s design projects.
Companies in attendance were: TSEC, Fala Tech, EarthKind Energy, SpectraWatt, Central Hudson, Se'lux, Mettrix Technology Corp, Farm to Table, IBM, Life Medical and Prism Solar. There also were representatives from: CVD, Benedictine Hospital and Viking Industries.
December 10th was the Outstanding Student Reception – Velma Swamy (graduate student) represented our department by having a GPA of 3.92.
