In Memory of Steve Bogart

The faculty and staff of the Department of Electrical Engineering are deeply saddened by the passing of Steve Bogart on Sunday, February 1, 2009.
Steve was the Chair of the EAB (Engineering Advisory Board), which consists of very talented professionals who volunteer their time and efforts to promote engineering to the community. With this objective in mind, they created the SUNY New Paltz Engineering Day celebration, an event that they have organized and implemented for 7 years. Last year, Engineering Day congregated 30 Company booths and 1200 middle and high school students from the Hudson Valley.
Not only was Steve the Alma Mater of our Engineering Day, but he participated in our Engineering Open House, where he gave heart-felt speeches to prospective students and their parents about the advantages of pursuing engineering at SUNY New Paltz. His invaluable volunteering work has helped significantly the New Paltz community and the Engineering Department.
For all he gave, for his strong and sincere hand-shaking, for his friendly and generous smile… we are going to miss him.
