Master of Science for Teachers in Early Childhood (B-2)

Program Requirements & Curriculum Requirements

Program Requirements

Develop a "plan of study" with an advisor upon filing for matriculation. Non-matriculated students may take a maximum of six (6) credits toward the degree from the following list of four (4) options, each representing 3 credits:

1. 39565 Teaching in Inclusive Classrooms,
2. 38581 Racism and Sexism in Education or 38537 Issues in Multicultural Education,
3. 35593 Developmentally Appropriate Practices
4. 35523 Reading in the Primary Grades.

Completion of prescribed course work and other requirements within five years after matriculation

Maintain a cumulative average of 3.00 or better, with no more than two grades below B-.

Student Teaching (Undergraduate credits) (12)

A full-time student teaching experience is required. You will be eligible for enrollment into student teaching upon completion of all other course requirements and having maintained a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
