Fieldwork

General Information

  • Each junior- and senior-level fieldwork has a course number; you will register for fieldwork at the same time you register for other courses.
  • Some placements, such as the Duzine School Partnership and the Lenape School Partnership, require an application and/or permission of instructor prior to registration. Most placements are arranged after you register.
  • After registering, you must complete a fieldwork form on my.newpaltz. The information you provide helps the Office of Field Experience staff to arrange your placement. You must have proof of fingerprints on a TEACH account in order to receive your placement.
  • There will be a fieldwork orientation session at the beginning of the semester. You will be given final placement details at that time.
  • Transportation to and from fieldwork is your responsibility.
