BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN EARLY CHILDHOOD AND CHILDHOOD EDUCATION (BIRTH - GRADE 6)

The Department of Elementary Education offers an undergraduate teacher preparation program which prepares students to work with children from birth through sixth grade. Students who successfully complete this program are granted provisional certification enabling them to teach in New York and many other states. All students in the program declare a parallel major in a selected liberal arts discipline, giving them the two-fold advantage of graduating with a liberal arts degree and a teaching certificate.
