All students who wish to enter the Early Childhood/Childhood B-6 program must successfully complete an on-site writing assessment. This 20-minute writing sample will be evaluated for appropriate English grammar and usage by the faculty of the Department of Elementary Education. 

Students will be asked for photo ID at the time of the assessment. If a student requires accommodations for a documented disability, s/he must contact the Disability Resource Center at or 845-257-3020 no less than two weeks prior to the date of the writing assessment.
