2013 Spring Schedule
New students should plan to arrive into JFK Airport on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013. Transportation will be arranged from JFK to New Paltz, so you should book your ticket for that date. The bus will leave the airport no later than 6 p.m. A mandatory orientation will be provided for all new students beginning on Jan. 17, 2013. For returning students, the residence halls will open on Sunday, Jan. 20. We will arrange transportation from JFK on that day for returning students only.
Classes will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 22 and end on Tuesday, May 7 with finals held from May 13 to 17. Undergraduate commencement is scheduled for Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 10 a.m.
For students on the extended spring model (ITU and Izmir), classes will resume on May 22 and conclude on June 26. Transportation will be provided to JFK on June 27, 2013.
2013 Summer Schedule
Classes will meet Monday through Thursday each week. Fridays will be generally be available for study sessions as well as free time. Activities will be scheduled most weekends.
The undergraduate graduation ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 10 a.m. Students finishing the program in May or August 2013 are eligible to march in the ceremony.
The first day of classes for Summer Session I, 2013 is Wednesday, May 22, 2013. The first session concludes on Wednesday, June 26, 2013.
Students arriving for Summer Session II should plan to arrive into JFK on June 30. Transportation from the airport can only be arranged on that date. Orientation will be held on July 1 and the first day of classes for the Summer Session II is Tuesday, July 2. The second session concludes on Tuesday, Aug. 6. Residence halls will close on Wednesday, Aug. 7.
