2012 Spring Schedule
New students should plan to arrive into JFK Airport on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Transportation will be arranged from JFK to New Paltz so you should book your ticket for that date; the bus will leave the airport no later than 6:00 pm. A mandatory orientation will be provided for all new students beginning on January 18, 2011. For returning students, the residence halls will open on Saturday, January 21. We will arrange transportation from JFK on that day for returning students only.
Classes will begin on Monday, January 23 and end on Tuesday, May 8 with finals held between May 11 to May 17. Undergraduate commencement is scheduled for Sunday, May 20, 2012.
For students on the extended spring model (ITU and Izmir), classes will resume on May 23 and conclude on June 27. Transportation will be provided to JFK on June 28, 2012.
2012 Summer Schedule
Classes will meet Monday through Thursday each week. Fridays will be generally be available for study sessions as well as free time. Activities will be scheduled most weekends.
The undergraduate graduation ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 10:00 am. Students finishing the program in May or August 2012 are eligible to march in the ceremony.
The first day of classes for Summer Session I, 2012 is Wednesday, May 23, 2012. The first session concludes on Wednesday, June 27, 2012.
Students arriving for Summer Session II should plan to arrive into JFK on July 1, 2012. Transportation from the airport can only be arranged on that date. The first day of classes for the Summer Session II is Tuesday, July 3. The second session concludes on Tuesday, August 7. Residence halls will close on Tuesday, August 8.
