Detailed Admissions Instructions

The information requested below will be used to process formal admission to SUNY New Paltz for the undergraduate dual diploma programs sponsored in partnership with Turkish universities, to establish the student record, and to prepare immigration documents. Therefore, it is very important that these instructions are followed carefully.

1. Please complete the online Admissions Form. This form can be completed in advance of the remaining materials requested.

2. You should complete the International Student Financial statement (FSA-4) and add the required supporting documents. You will need to be able to document that you can pay for all living expenses on campus, including tuition, fees, room and board, health insurance, books, and personal expenses. SUNY New Paltz will provide your campus coordinator with a copy of the estimate of costs for the year and the amount of money that must be certified. You should obtain two original copies of the required certified bank document; one of which will be sent to New Paltz to process your immigration documents and the other that you will need to show to the consulate to process your visa application.

3. A TOEFL score is required for admission. SUNY New Paltz requires that the results of the official TOEFL examination be submitted electronically from the testing agency. Please make arrangements to have the scores sent by indicating SUNY New Paltz's code (2541) on the form. Alternatively, scores from the institutional TOEFL offered by SUNY New Paltz may be substituted.
