Scientific Work in Progress
- Effects of Vinclozalin and Tertbutyltin on planarian development & regeneration. This work involves two undergraduate and one graduate student and will be presented in poster form later this year.
- Evidence of a role for estrogen in planarian development & regeneration. This work involves four undergraduate students and will be presented in poster form later this year.
- Biogeneic electric fields in wounded and regenerating planaria. This is a collaboration between myself and Drs Biswas and Halpern in the department of Physics. It also involves one graduate student and an Intel Science & Engineering Fair student from Rondout Valley High School. It will be presented in one or more posters later this year.
- Undergraduate attitudes & beliefs about science and evolution. This work stems from surveying undergraduate non-biology major students in the Evolution for Everyone (Bio 135) course. It involves 2 graduate students. It will be presented in poster form later this year.
