$5,000.00 and performance of the composition The Davenport Competition winner serves as Composer-in-Residence in the Music Department of the School of Fine & Performing Arts. The six-day residency includes participation in the SUNY New Paltz Department of Music's Concert Series (performance, lecture or public forum), a master class, workshops, and informal gatherings with students and faculty. In addition to the residency, the Davenport Competition winner will attend rehearsals of the Hudson Valley Philharmonic, as well as two public performances. The six-day residency, with rehearsals and final performances, runs from Tuesday, November 16 through Sunday, November 21, 2004. |
