Podcasting, an audio version of blogs, is being used for news reports, music and radio shows.

In a time when iPods and blogs (Web logs) have become increasingly popular, it makes sense that the two have been fused in a new trend called podcasting.

If you don't have an iPod, you can use any MP3 player or computer with speakers to listen to these audio broadcasts.

Unlike conventional online streaming media, podcasts can be downloaded individually and automatically using programs such as www.ipodderx.com (for Mac) and www.ipodder.net (for PC).

Coming soon, the SUNY New Paltz Web site will offer podcasts on the resources for current students section. Stay tuned!
