The Caribbean Student Organization was founded in 1983 with the purpose of raising awareness of the rich and diverse cultures of the Caribbean to New Paltz and surrounding communities. In doing so, we hold weekly meetings every Wednesday in the Student Union Building, we have office hours and we also hold educational, political, cultural, and social programs aiming at educating the larger public about events put on by CSO, whose mission is to celebrate as well as to educate on the rich diversity, and pride of different people from different Caribbean countries..
