Construct New Science Building

Status: Construction Phase

DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUND:
Upon arrival at the campus, the first vision one will see, is the new science building due to its location at the corner of Plattekill Ave and South Manheim Blvd. It will enhance student-faculty interactions and provide improved interdisciplinary teaching laboratories and classrooms. Academic departments that will have offices in the new building include computer science; geology; mathematics; physics and astronomy and geography. Reflecting our campus values and environmental responsibilities, this building will be designed to qualify for LEED certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

UPDATES:
The main steel work will be complete by the end of the week and the crane will be gone. Decking will be going down on the west side and the roof is to begin next.
