Last Updated: Friday, November 20, 2009
Status: Active
DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUND:
The new landscape site renovation will reinforce the connection of the campus to the magnificent landscape, clarify the campus' boundaries and relationship to both its urban and rural edges, restore and reconnect the existing open spaces on campus, develop the campus' landscape to its full potential and enhance the sustainable attributes of the campus landscape. The Landscape Master Plan will be implemented in two phases over the course of the next five years, ending in 2013. The initial Phase involves the Mohonk Walk (west- from the Main Academic Concourse to van den Berg Hall) construction as well as the greening of the Main Academic Concourse and Hasbrouck Quad site renovation. Phase II includes portions of the Pond Restoration and Parking Lot 28 expansion.
UPDATES:
Sasaki Associates have been on campus several times gathering information in order to prepare documents for the construction of the Mohonk Walk, renovation of the Main Academic Concourse and the Hasbrouck Quad site renovation. They will return later this month to review schematic design.
