Construct New Science Building

DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUND:
The new science building, to be located on the corner of Plattekill and North Manheim, would act as a gateway to the college and enhance student-faculty interactions and provide improved, interdisciplinary teaching laboratories and classrooms. Academic departments that will have offices in the new building include, Computer Science; Geology; Mathematics; and Physics.
Reflecting our campus values and environmental responsibilities, this building will qualify for LEED certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.
UPDATES:
The design team has been on campus for meetings and investigation of the current facilities at Coykendall Science Building and Wooster Science Building. A facilities space utilization study is in progress and information gathered during the course of this study will be used in determining the design of the new building.
