SUNY New Paltz joined a global call to action to highlight the importance of the 26th annual United Nations Summit on Climate Change, a gathering of representatives from 197 countries to confront the grave threat posed by global climate change and ecological destruction.

At 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30 – the day before the Summit – New Paltz’s van den Berg Hall Clocktower rang out as part of a worldwide moment of noisemaking to draw attention to the urgency of immediate, coordinated, global action to address the grave threat posed by climate change and ecological destruction. Learn more about SUNY New Paltz’s sustainability efforts in President Christian’s Oct. 25, 2021, message in solidarity with the UN Summit on Climate Change.

YOUR FUTURE

As a thank you for being a friend of SUNY New Paltz, we want to make it easier for our community to find peace of mind and protect what they love. One easy way to do just that is to write a legal will — nearly 70% of American adults don’t have one, but it’s an essential task to plan for the future and protect the people and causes they care about. Use this free will-writing tool to get started in 20 minutes or less, at no personal cost.
