Getting To Know Us (and Yourself)

Leslie Masker belongs to the smiling face that inevitably greets you whenever you walk into the Faculty Office Building to visit the Department of Computer Science. Leslie has been working on campus for over 10 years; first in the Interlibrary Loans Office of the Sojourner Truth Library and then as the secretary of the CS Department.

Leslie is an indomitable force for warmth and kindness. Even though she sits in an office with no window, the sun always seems to shine around her desk.

Aram Agajanian is the technical support person of the CS department. Aram's mission in life is to convert the world to Linux. He is the campus expert on Linux and your source for all things Linux.

Aram got his bachelor's and masters degrees from SUNY New Paltz. While he spends most of his time making sure that the academic Linux systems on campus function properly, he is also interested in sharing what he knows as a member of the Hudson Valley Linux Users Group. He has written and presented papers at regional conferences and has always been contributor to the department's growth and future.
Some final words of wisdom - not mine and all the more worthwhile - from the New York Times. The article is a checklist of things a College student should do to get the most out of their time at university. The one I like the best is “Don't alienate your professor, participate”.
