Costs of retainable attire: 2013 caps and gowns are $35 (cap, gown, tassel). Cap and gown are required for participants.
Cap & Gown:
The pre order due date has now ended. Caps and gowns will be available for pickup/purchase at the campus Bookstore beginning Tuesday, April 30 2013.
To pick up your cap and gown, the Graduating Senior Survey must be completed and a confirmation number will be generated. You will need this confirmation number along with your New Paltz ID to pick up your cap and gown.
August/December 2012 graduates: In October, you were invited to respond to the Graduating Senior Survey. Go to your primary email and find a message sent from Jacqueline Andrews. The subject line is: Take the Graduating Senior Survey! Get Your Commencement confirmation number!
There is a link at the end of the survey. When you click on it, you will be brought to another page. Enter your user name and password and press SUBMIT. Your confirmation number will then appear. You will need your confirmation number for your four guest tickets, student participation ticket, and to pick up your cap and gown. View an example here.

Bookstore hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.–3 p.m. If paying by check, a valid student ID or a New York State driver's license is required.
Note: The Bookstore offers graduation year "charms" which are worn on the tassel. When you pick up your cap & gown, please let the Bookstore know your year of graduation so you can get the appropriate charm.
Neither the university nor the manufacturer of the cap and gown guarantee that they are colorfast. The university cannot be held liable in the event the gown bleeds.
