Due to cuts to the New Paltz operating budget, the December Commencement ceremonies will be discontinued, effective December 2009. All students who receive August or December 2009 degrees or who are candidates for May 2010 degrees, are invited to participate in the May 2010 ceremonies. Scheduled Rehearsals: Graduate

Rehearsals for Graduate School Ceremony:

Candidates are encouraged to attend this one-hour rehearsal that will explain how the day will unfold, answer questions and be an opportunity for registered candidates to obtain guest tickets and their participation ticket before the day of the ceremony.  Rehearsal dates are as follows: 

Wednesday, May 12, 2010  7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Lecture Center 100

-or-

Thursday, May 13, 2010   7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. 
Lecture Center 100

If the candidate is unable to attend rehearsal or will be unable to give the tickets to their guests before the day of the ceremony, they may pick up their tickets beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the Will Call table at Wooster Parking lot #21, located at the southeastern entrance  to the Old Main Quad.

Tickets may also be obtained at the Welcome Center, HAB-Lobby, beginning Friday, May 14 - Friday, May 21, 2010, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

If someone other than the candidate is picking up tickets, they will  need a photo ID and a note from the candidate with their confirmation number.  Starting Monday, April 19, 2010, candidates may go to my.newpaltz.edu to get their confirmation number.
