Conferral of Degrees
This means you have met all the academic requirements for your graduation, which is finalized by the Office of Records and Registration once all your grades are submitted. Their office issue the diplomas 6-8 weeks after the end of the semester. Commencement is a formal ceremony that recognizes the August graduates and the December and May candidates for graduation.

At the Commencement ceremony, candidates do not receive an actual diploma. Candidates receive their Diploma Cover with a certificate of participation for your Commencement Ceremony. Your degree will be mailed to your permanent address 6-8 weeks after the end of the semester by the Office of Records and Registration.

Marshals
Are at each of the ceremonies to assist with the proceedings of the day. Look for people wearing white Commencement shirts at the December ceremonies and orange Commencement shirts for the May Ceremonies. Any faculty who wish to help out with the ceremonies, please contact the Commencement Office.
