Lisa A. Phillips is the author of Public Radio: Behind the Voices (Perseus, 2006). She has written essays and articles for the New York Times, the Boston Globe, and other publications. A former award-winning radio reporter, she's done audio production work for the New York Times online and reported stories for All Things Considered, Marketplace, and other national and local radio programs. Her second book, Unrequited: Women and the Power and Peril of Romantic Obsession, is under contract with HarperCollins.
Phillips is also a published fiction writer and a recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts fiction grant. She has been awarded writing residencies at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Yaddo, Ucross, Jentel, and Wellspring House.
