Distance learning and online teaching are managed through Continuing Education and the dean's office. First time online teachers are offered a monetary incentive for course development as funds are available and use of a laptop computer.
The priority for online courses are those that satisfy general education requirements or that serve a large amount of majors. Online courses have become particularly popular in the summer where they are taught over nine weeks.
