Frantz Folmer-Andersen Joins Chemistry Faculty

The Chemistry Department would like to welcome Frantz Folmer-Andersen who joined the faculty this fall. Dr. Folmer-Andersen completed his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Bard College and Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry at the University of Texas at Austin. For the past two years he has been an NSF International Research Fellow in the lab of Nobel laureate Jean-Marie Lehn at the Université Louis Pasteur. Dr. Folmer-Andersen will be teaching a variety of courses in the chemistry department and will be doing research with undergraduate students. His research focuses on the development of synthetic molecules that mimic the function of biological molecules.
