Nano-Collaboration
02/19/2008
Professors Preeti Dhar and Daniel Freedman of the New Paltz Chemistry Department have started collaboration work with Dr. Robert Brainard of the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering, University of Albany. Faculty and students at New Paltz will be synthesizing new acid amplifiers, a class of compounds that are potentially useful in the manufacture of state of the art electronic devices. A recent New Paltz Chemistry graduate, Sarah Gibbons, will be working on this project.

Sarah Gibbons prepares a –78oC dry ice/acetone bath for a reaction.
