UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS

Undergraduate students interested in pursuing the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics must present a portfolio for admittance to the program. Internal students come for an interview, which usually occurs prior to pre-registration for the following semester. Applicants have taken one or more classes in ceramics at SUNY New Paltz prior to applying to the program. External students submit portfolios, and they come to campus for an interview as well. Placement within the program is determined by transcript and by level of accomplishment as determined in the portfolio. It is generally understood that the ceramics portion of the overall plan of study takes two years to complete.
