Graduate Curriculum

MFA students in Ceramics must complete a total of 60 credits: 30 credits in the field of Ceramics, 12 credits in Liberal Arts/History and Theory and 18 credits of electives. Students must also mount a thesis exhibition and produce a written thesis in support of their work.

A sample curriculum of each of the four semesters' work follows:

1st Semester
  • ARS521 - Ceramics I (3)

  • ARS501 - Graduate Art Seminar (3)
  • Liberal Arts or Art History (3)
  • Internship in College Art Studio Teaching (3)
