This event was sponsored by the Evolutionary Studies Program, the Honors Program and the Evolutionary Studies Club. The Evolutionary Studies Program is multidisciplinary, with faculty participants from Biology, Geology, and Computer Engineering, as well as Psychology, Anthropology and Theater Arts. Our Darwin Day speaker this year was Professor Lionel Tiger, the Charles Darwin Professor of Anthropology at Rutgers University.

Prof Tiger's evening talk was entitled, 'What Would Darwin Say?', which focused on how Darwin might feel about his influence on modern thought if he paid us a visit today.

Both of Prof Tiger's talks were controversial (to say the least). Here, the audience continues the discussion after the formal evening talk. Such discussions and debates continued in the Evolutionary Studies Seminar and in classrooms throughout the campus for the better part of a week.
