Undergraduate Admissions Is Going Live - Nov. 6

  • On Mon., Nov. 6 Undergraduate Admissions will officially begin using Banner.
  • The admissions process for fall 2007 applicants will take place solely in Banner.
  • Faculty and staff on campus that currently have access to admissions screens in the legacy student records system will not have access to fall 2007 applicants until sometime in 2007
    • Spring 2007 applicants and admits will still be accessed and available in the legacy student records systems until mid-2007.
    • The first offices to be trained and given access to fall 2007 applicants in Banner will be Records & Registration, Student Accounts, EOP, Financial Aid and Academic Advising.
    • Once they're up and running a few other select offices will be trained and given access.
    • After that, if there are others on-campus who need to see fall 2007 applicant data, they will have the opportunity to discuss the possibility of access with the office of undergraduate admission.
  • The majority of the undergraduate admission staff is on the road this time of the year, as it is their prime recruiting season. Those that are in the office will be working with consultants from SCT the week of Nov. 6 to work out any bugs. Service to students, faculty and staff will be very limited this week, and may continue into following weeks depending on how smooth the transition goes. Your patience with their office is greatly appreciated.

Sorry, no bribe this week . . . but stay tuned for future editions and possible bribes! :-)
