New feature in my.newpaltz.edu for first year students

Last week we launched a new feature within my.newpaltz.edu exclusively for our new first year students. When they login, they will now find a tab called "My First Year" that includes a wide range of new and exciting features, which will be updated monthly.

• Academic Advising: Whatd'ya Know Trivia & monthly video featuring each of the advisors in their office
• Ask Me! Two students, Allison Duarte & Josh Gorfein, field questions from eager new students. Recent questions asked include "Do I really need XL sheets for my bed or will regular twin sheets suffice?" and "would you suggest being a part of Greek Life? Why?"
• My Orientation Leader: Contact info for their summer OL, and access to their fun summer group photos from each session
• Club of the Month: Currently featuring Culture Shock
• Events

• My Choices Matter: A Focus on health & wellness
• Poll of the Month
• Psychological Counseling Center video by Mark Balaban

The current content will be up until August 20, when we refresh again with all new contests, videos and information to give them a warm welcome to SUNY New Paltz!
