Banner Briefs: January 25, 2007
The all new my.newpaltz.edu
- The new my.newpaltz.edu debuted on Friday, January 12.
- If you are having problems logging in, please e-mail your username to mynphelp@newpaltz.edu.
- If you are a faculty/staff member and a student, you should only login with your faculty/staff NPCUID and should have access to both Faculty/Staff Services and the Student Services tabs. If this is not the case, please send an e-mail with your username to mynphelp@newpaltz.edu.
- We are not yet ready to recommend GroupWise users switch to the new calendar in my.newpaltz.edu, as additional time is needed to thoroughly test it. We have recently learned it cannot do everything GroupWise currently can. There are three video tutorials available in the My.Guides channel for support for those interested in exploring the new calendar on their own.
- Customize it - make it your own! Did you know there is a video tutorial called "Customize Your Layout: Columns, Tabs and Channels" that walks you through every step to add the content you want to see?
Graduate School Applications
- We have received 280 online applications since the site debuted on January 8. We haven't done any external promotion of this new feature yet - these people just found it by coming to our Web site!
- Supplemental items needed to complete the first online application were received January 10.
- Online applications are being accepted for the Fall 2007 and the Summer 2007 entry terms.
- It takes nearly half the time to process to an online application as opposed to a paper application.
Banner Accounts Receivable
- Pre-Enrollment Deposits (PED's) and Advance Room Deposits (ARD's) for fall 2007 accepted students are now being entered in Banner. While students cannot yet enter their deposits through the Web, Student Accounts is accepting all other forms of payment in person or by mail.
- All student payments will be made in Banner beginning in April.
