Players of the Week
Women’s basketball player, Nicole Sarcone and men’s basketball player, Lee Bertram have been selected as the SUNY New Paltz student-athlete’s of the week for the week ending December 9th.

Sophomore guard Nicole Sarcone (Staten Island/Notre Dame Academy) led the Hawks to a 3-0 week with wins over Norwich, Geneseo and the College of Staten Island (CSI). Sarcone finished the week with 14 points, 14 rebounds and 20 assists. She tallied a career nine assists against Geneseo and CSI as New Paltz advanced to 5-3 and 1-1 in SUNYAC play.
Sophomore Lee Bertram (Bayport/Bayport-Blue Point) averaged 16 points and nine rebounds on the week as the Hawks went 1-1. Bertram posted his second double-double of the season in the 68-65 win over John Jay, on his way to a career high 22 points.
