Players of the Week

Women’s basketball player, Sarah Salvo and men’s basketball player, Kyle Nelson have been selected as the SUNY New Paltz student-athlete’s of the week for the week ending November 18th.

Sarah Salvo (Manorville/Eastport Southmanor) tied her career high of 18 points in the Hawks 75-50 win over Villa Julie. Salvo finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds on the weekend.

Kyle Nelson (Port Ewen/Kingston) was a strong presence for the Hawks this weekend. Nelson had 27 points in 40 minutes of play during the Hawks 88-71 loss to Nazareth. Nelson also had 15 rebounds, seven points against Rochester, as he averaged 17 points and 11.5 rebounds on the weekend on his way to earning all tournament honors.
