Players of the Week
Softball player Lauren Motzkin (Woodstock/Onteora) and baseball player Robert Helf (Peconic/Southold) and have been selected as the SUNY New Paltz student-athletes of the week for the week ending April 28th.

Senior Lauren Motzkin led the Hawks to a 5-1, including a SUNYAC sweep of Geneseo and split with Brockport to guarantee a trip to the SUNYAC tournament. On the week Motzkin hit .455 (10-of-22), including two doubles, nine runs and eight RBIs. Her double and run scored in the 7-3 win against Brockport set a new season record for doubles (15) and runs (35). The Hawks are now 24-16 on the season and 13-9 in conference, school records for wins in both categories.
Senior Robert Helf hit .455 on 11-of-23 in four games, with four RBI and five runs scored. He hit his fourth and fifth double of the season in addition to his second homerun. The Hawks earned their 20th win of the season with a 4-3 win over Union on Saturday.
