Players of the Week
Baseball pitcher Zachary Potter (Pine Plains) and softball player Justine Scutaro (Shoreham/Shoreham-Wading River) have been selected as the SUNY New Paltz student-athletes of the week for the week ending April 6th.

Zachary Potter pitched a complete game in the 1-0 shutout over Oneonta as the Hawks advanced to 3-1 in conference play. He struck out nine batters to improve his season total to 41. Potter is 4-0 on the mound this season with a 3.09 ERA.
Justine Scutaro cracked a three-run homer in the top of the seventh to break a 6-6 tie with Fredonia and claim the 9-6 win. New Paltz went 2-4 on the week as Scutaro started all six games and hit .286 on 6-21 from the plate. She hit two doubles and her first career homerun with five RBIs. Scutaro is hitting .349 on the season with a team high 16 RBIs.
