Players of the Week
Men’s Volleyball player Ryan Huberty (Liverpool) and women’s basketball player Artie Williams (Newburgh/Newburgh Free Academy) have been selected as the SUNY New Paltz student-athletes of the week for the week ending February 17th.

Ryan Huberty led the Hawks to a 4-0 week, hitting .420%. Huberty registered 44 kills, 29 digs, three solo blocks and five block assists. New Paltz defeated Baruch 3-0, NJCU 3-1 and 3-0 and finished the week with a 3-0 win over Emmanuel. The Hawks, whose season started with the best teams in the country, proved their record was misleading, hitting .256% as a team with 194 kills on the week.
Artie Williams led the Hawks to a 2-1 week, averaging 14.7 points and 8.7 rebounds. She posted a career high 26 points and 16 rebounds in the overtime loss to Baruch. On the season Williams leads the team with 12.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and is shooting 51.9% from the floor. The Hawks are 18-6 overall and 12-3 in conference play, setting a school record for wins in both categories.
