Players of the Week
Women's basketball players Kristen Caban and Nicole Sarcone have been selected as the SUNY New Paltz student-athletes of the week for the week ending February 3rd.

Sophomore Kristen Caban (Staten Island/St. Joseph Hill Academy) averaged 13.3 points per game to help lead the Hawks to a 3-0 week. She connected on 14-16 free throws to improve her season percentage to .837% from the line. Caban is averaging 10.1 points per outing and leads the team in three point percentage with .417%.
Sophomore Nicole Sarcone (Staten Island/Notre Dame Academy) led the Hawks to a 3-0 week, with 31 points and 19 assists. She played the game of her career with 14 points, 10 assists and six steals to lead New Paltz to an 82-67 victory over Hartwick on Tuesday night. On the season, Sarcone is averaging 5.8 points and 5 assists per outing.
