Players of the Week
Men's swimmer Johnny Fleckenstein and women's basketball player Amber Sohns have been selected as the SUNY New Paltz student-athletes of the week for the week ending January 27th.

Senior Johnny Fleckenstein (Port Jefferson) finished with two seconds and a third place finish against Cortland on Saturday. He touched second in the 200 back (2:07.29) and the 200 breast (2:24.68). His third place finish came in the 200 IM (2:08.26). The Hawks finished 1-2-3 in the 200 IM and the 200 back events.
Senior Amber Sohns (Delhi/Delaware Academy) led the Hawks to a 1-2 week, with 36 points and 15 rebounds. She scored 20 points in the loss to Cortland. On the season, Sohns is averaging 10 points and 4.3 rebounds per outing. Sohns currently stands eighth on the all-time scoring chart and seventh in rebounds.
