» Rubrics
A rubric is a scoring tool that “lists the criteria for a piece of work”. Rubrics identify the level of performance expected for each aspect of the product being assessed. Rubrics create an objective means for assessing that which is often subjective in nature. Bloom’s taxonomy provides a helpful structure for assessment. Progressing in level of sophistication, Bloom’s taxonomy captures six categories in the cognitive domain.
